Initial situation
- the old building was too small for the School of Business and it was mainly administrative
- classes were given in several classrooms in different buildings
- AUB Master Plan proposed a new location for the school which would offer an inspiring learning environment for the students and the faculty
Objectives identified
The idea was to follow the recommendation of the AUB Master Plan by:
- building a new facility next to the sea
- choosing furniture that supports active learning and team based work
- bringing classroom flexibility from one teaching mode to the next
- promoting strong student and faculty interactions
