Belgium - Design at Work - During “Design at Work” competition Amia received a special mention from the Jury. Organised by Interior Foundation, this Belgium design award aims at providing more visibility to companies (small or international) from all industries, which focus on good and clever design. Germany - Focus Green Awards - Think chair was awarded a Focus Green Award in Gold; Kalidro desk and 32 Seconds chair received a Focus Green Award in Silver. The Baden-Württemberg International Design Award, organised by the government of this German land, had in 2008 the theme Focus Green.
This government award is granted to manufacturers and designers for forward-looking, professional and excellent design work. The "Focus in Gold" and "Focus in Silver" design awards are guarantees of the highest design quality. The competition reward companies who have the best-designed solutions for current trends and for the topics that are of particular interest for experts and the general public. Germany - red dot award - Three months after its launch, Activa, the new C-foot desk from Steelcase, a Stefan Brodbeck design, was awarded a red dot. The international “red dot design award” is one of the largest and most famous design competitions in the world. Based in Germany, red dot attracts submissions from more than 50 countries. The international jury appraises the competing product according the functionality, the quality as well as the innovation. France - Janus de l’industrie - Attesse P30 was awarded with an Industry Janus. The Janus award is organised by the French Institute for Design with the sponsorship of the French Ministry for Economy, Finance and Industry and is an official design award, created in 1953.
