In Europe, there are 5 Steelcase plants: 2 in France (Sarrebourg and Wisches), 2 in Germany (Durlangen, and Rosenheim) and 1 in Spain (Madrid). This geographical spread has a positive impact on logistics.
Transport implies packaging, energy consumption and CO2 emissions. To lower the environmental impact we:
- Leverage the load potential throughout the entire transport route
- Load trucks efficiently
- Look for ways to minimize packaging
- Look for suppliers in close proximity
